Smiths Grove, KY – Cities across Kentucky are passing resolutions declaring that Halloween must be celebrated on Saturday, October 30th.
That's because October 31st is a Sunday. Citing religious concerns, the fact that Sunday is a school night and even personal opinion, mayors and city councils have opted to recognize Halloween on October 30th.
In western Kentucky, the decision to let trick-or-treaters out a day early has been made already in several communities including Smiths Grove, Glasgow, Morgantown, Brownsville, Munforsville, Russellville and Franklin.
