Helicopter Crashes in Southern Indiana

Southern Indiana authorities say a helicopter crashed while crop dusting a field, injuring the pilot.  Jefferson County emergency management director Dave Bell tells WHAS-TV and WAVE-TV the crash happened about 7:45 a.m. Friday near State Road 3 and Highway 256 about 35 miles north of Louisville, Ky.  Bell says the pilot was making a final round of crop dusting in a bean field when winds tipped the helicopter and its chopper blades touched the ground, causing it to crash upside down.  The pilot was the only person on the aircraft, which was owned by a Pennsylvania company. He suffered back injuries and was taken to a hospital in Madison. Federal aviation officials are expected to investigate the crash.
