Henry Asks For New Hearing On Case

By AP

Louisville, KY – Former Kentucky Lieutenant Governor Steve Henry is asking U. S. prosecutrs to take another look at a medical misbilling case against him.
Henry says a recent plea agreement shows the need for the U.S. attorney's office to revisit a case against his former practice.
The agreement was with Sharon Gregory for embezzling $74,000 from Henry's former practice.
Henry is a Democrat who's considering a run for Governor next year. He says Gregory's case could nullify a 2003 settlement agreement with the U.S. government that has caused problems for him politically.
U.S. prosecutors had investigated him for allegedly charging for surgeries for which he was not present. In a settlement, Henry paid the government $162,000 but didn't admit guilt.
