La Grange, KY – An inmate who was released from jail so he could find out whether he could donate a kidney to his 15 year old son has not returned to his place of confinement.
U. S. Marshalls believe 37 year old Byron Perkins left his mother's home in Campbellsville Wednesday with his girlfriend, who also is a fugitive with a felony warrant out of Green County.
The Marshalls say Perkins was released from the Oldham County jail this week on a $10,000 bond for medical tests to determine whether he could be a kidney donor. He missed a Tuesday medical appointment and did not return that afternoon to the jail.
