One of Gov. Steve Beshear’s first appointments after he took office in 2007 will retire this month. Kentucky’s Public Protection Secretary Bob Vance says he’ll leave the job, effective May 31st.
The cabinet Vance oversaw regulates banks and investment companies along with the horse racing industry, insurance companies, plus alcohol sales and licensing.
Governor Beshear says his chief of staff Larry Bond will be the acting secretary until a permanent replacement is named.
