KSP Gets New Leads Regarding Logan County Cold Case Murder

Kentucky State Police investigators are re-interviewing people about a 21-year-old slaying after turning up new information in the case. Detective Laura Isenberg told The Daily News that technological advances are allowing the probe into the death of 36-year-old Danny Martin Kennedy of Russellville to move forward with evidence collected just after he died.

A fisherman on Barren River found Martin's partially clothed body on Sept. 5, 1991, wrapped in a blue tarpaulin and chains that snaked around both the tarp and the body tied to a cinder block. Kennedy died of blunt force trauma to his head.

Investigators used fingerprints to identify Kennedy's remains two weeks after they were found.

Isenberg says "we're in the process of re-interviewing everyone" involved in the case.
