Louisville Cop Never Drew His Weapon

By AP

Louisville, KY – Louisville metro police say 27 year old officer Peter Grignon had not drawn his revolver when he was fatally wounded in the head and neck.
Grignon died Wednesday morning, a short time after he was shot by 17 year old Travis Ballard of Louisville. Ballard then took his own life.
The officer had been called after two teenagers had peeled through a yard in a stolen pickup truck. Grignon was nearing the end of his shift when he was shot.
Ballard's mother, Barbara, says her son had a history of mental and emotional problems and had spent time in a treatment center.
