More Floodgates Installed At Louisville

By AP

Louisville, KY – After Monday's installations are complete, there will be five floodgates in place at Louisville, although little Ohio River flooding is anticipated.
Bud Schardein of the Louisville metropolitan sewer district says eleven pumps are being used to get backed up creek water into the river.
Road closures so far have been limited to low lying areas such as River Road downtown and at Indian Hills Trail and Blankenbaker Lane.
Schardein says the only variable is how much rain will fall this week on the Ohio River water shed. he says the Ohio will be at flood stage or near that level most of the week.
