Owensboro, KY – Daviess County coroner Bob Howe says a 7 month old Lewisport girl who died at Owensboro Medical Health System Sunday was a homicide victim.
Howe says an autopsy performed on the body of Addryana Johnson in Madisonville revealed that she died as the result of a closed head injury
Howe says it appeared the child was the victim of shaken baby syndrome. Howe says he's turned the case over to Lewisport police chief John Gardner.
The child lived on Lake Street in Lewisport. Howe said the child's mother is April Johnson. An obituary form turned into the Messenger-Inquirer newspaper Monday listed the baby;s step-father as Jason Dant of Lewisport.
Howe says April Johnson and Dant were present at the residence Sunday when ambulance personnel arrived.
