Owensboro Reserves Called to Active Duty

Owensboro, KY – Several western Kentucky members of an Army Reserve unit have been called to active duty.
In Owensboro, 14 members of the first company of the 398th Battalion, 2nd Brigade, 100th Division will spend the next year and a half training other soldiers at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.
They report on Thursday.
The second Brigade's operations officer is Maj. Sean Higgins. He says the reservists will provide combat training to members of the individual ready reserve made up of soldiers who've retired from active duty but jave been called back intoi active service
