Bowling Green/Owensboro – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a contractor will finish work ahead of schedule on Owensboro's "Blue Bridge", allowing the structure to be available to pedestrians and bicycles before it re-opens to automobile traffic on Friday night. The bridge, which will be known as the KY 2262 Ohio River Bridge, has been closed for deck repairs. Local officials are designating Friday as "Bridge Day.
