Owensboro,KY – Owensboro Southern is headed to the Little League World
Series. Behind Cole Sturgeon's one-hitter and seventeen
strikeouts, Southern blanked Highland, Indiana last
night.
The victory makes Owensboro Southern the winner in the
Little League Baseball Great Lakes Championship. The
next stop for the team is Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The Owensboro team will play Davenport Northwest
August 21st in a first round game at Williamsport. The
Davenport team edged Robbinsdale, Minnesota to win
the Midwest Championship.
