Police Shooting Sparks More Protests

Louisville, Kentucky – More protests are planned today and tomorrow over the fatal shooting of a handcuffed man by Louisville Police Detectives.

Protesters are calling for charges to be filed against the two detectives involved in the shooting of 50-year-old James Taylor. A protest is scheduled across from Police Headquarters at noon today.

Detectives Brian Luckett and Michael O'Neil have been placed on paid administrative leave after Thursday's shooting. O'Neil fired the shots that killed Taylor while he was handcuffed. Police say Taylor was brandishing a knife, and had lunged at officers.

The FBI in Louisville says as a routine procedure, agents have opened a criminal investigation into the shooting.
