Recanvass Scheduled in Barren County Judge-Executive Race

A Democratic candidate for Barren County Judge-Executive has asked for a recanvass of votes in the race.

Bud Tarry finished only three votes behind winner Michael Hale in Tuesday’s primary election.  Tarry tells the Glasgow Daily Times that he doesn’t expect the outcome of the race to change, but with the vote tally so close, several of his supporters encouraged him to seek a recanvass.

The recanvass will take place next Tuesday.

In the meantime, Hale says he has already started working for votes in November.  Hale will take on the Republican nominee David Honeycutt for Barren County Judge-Executive this fall.
