Republicans in Sixth District Attend Forum
Nicholasville, KY – Four Republican legislators who want
Governor-Elect Ernie Fletcher's seat in
Congress made a joint debut at a public
forum. About 130 people attended the
forum, at which each of the hopefuls talked
about past legislative accomplishments and
conservative credentials. Those attending
were State Senators Alice Forgy Kerr and
Tom Buford, as well as State Representatives
Lonnie Napier and Stan Lee.
Thirty one electors from counties in the district
will meet on December 13th to choose a
nominee for the party for the special election.
Several Democrats are also expected to
express interest in their party's nomination to
replace Fletcher in Congress.
