Louisville, KY – Attendance at this year's Kentucky State Fair was two percent
higher than last year and hit the highest level since 2001.
Attendance at the fair that ended Sunday totaled 637,327.
In 2001, the attendance was 653,950.
Fair officials say this was the sixteenth consecutive year
the Kentucky State Fair has topped the level of six hundred
thousand attendees. They say attendance this year was
helped by a strong slate of concerts, by good weather, and
by special activities. This was the one hundredth
Kentucky State Fair.
