Three More Ft. Campbell Deaths In Iraq

By AP

Fort Campbell, KY – Army officials at Fort Campbell continue to await word on the deaths of three soldiers during the weekend in Iraq.
The three were assigned to Task Force Baghdad in Iraq. The Defense Department did not identify the soldiers or their units in announcing the deaths Sunday.
In all, five soldiers were killed in four indictments across Iraq since Friday.
Counting the three soldiers' deaths, 29 troops from Fort Campbell have been killed since the 101st Airborne returned to Iraq for a second year long tour starting in September.
Approximately 20,600 troops from Fort Campbell are currently deployed. A spokesman says the 101st Airborne Division Air Assault soldiers are in the Division's rotation in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
More than 600 soldiers assigned to 101st and Fort Campbell units are deployed on separate missions for Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and other missions.
