Trying To Save E'town's Arts Center

By AP

Elizabethtown, KY – Hardin County schools officials are looking for ways to save and improve the Performing Arts Center in Elizabethtown. There was a recent $50,000 shortfall and director Bart Lovins says it stems from a management error.
Lovins says the shortfall was the result of a mistake in allocating funds.
He says shows are paid for in two parts, a deposit and a final payment. Money that should have been allocated for final payments was not earmarked properly and was spent elsewhere.
Lovins has told the Hardin County Board of Education a lack of funding has hurt the center.
