Two Dead in Apparent Murder-Suicide at Fort Knox

A Fort Knox Soldier and his wife were found dead Friday morning on the central Kentucky army post.

Fort Knox police responded to a 911 call from an on-post residence around 3:30 A.M.  Officers heard gunfire before entering the home and found a man and woman, both with gunshot wounds.  A press release from Fort Knox says early indications point to a domestic dispute.

Two children were in the home at the time of the shooting.  They were not harmed and are now in state custody.

Post officials say they will not release the names of the deceased until 24 hours after their families have been notified.
