Unemployed Kentuckians look to Congress for relief

Bowling Green – About five thousand Kentuckians have exhausted the maximum number of benefits they can collect through unemployment insurance. Whether or not they receive additional help from the federal government will depend on the U.S. Senate. Lawmakers are considering extending unemployment benefits up to 20 weeks. Similar legislation has already cleared the U.S. House. Another extension would be the fourth in just over a year. Lisa Autry reports.
