Bowling Green, Ky – The recent death of former Russian President Boris Yeltsin reveals a mixed record for the country's first post-Soviet leader. Dr. Hugh Phillips is a Russian expert with the WKU History Department. He says much of Yeltsin's early success came from his ability to relate to the average Russian citizen.
