Workers Urged To Boycott Merit Meeting

By AP

Frankfort, KY – A series of meetings will be held by state officials to get worker inout on recommendations by the merit system task force. But the Kentucky Assoication of State Employees is asking state workers to boycott the sessions.
Personnel cabinet officials say employees have shown so much interest that next week's first session in Frankfort has been moved to a larger facility.
President Lee Jackson of the Employees Association says the task force is a "farce". He says non-management state workers are excluded from the meetings and issued a preliminary recommendation to decriminalize merit law violations
