WKU's Doyle Hopes to Impress NFL Scouts at Senior Bowl

While the college football season is long over, there's an important game Saturday for Hilltopper tight end Jack Doyle.

The former WKU standout finds himself in Mobile, Ala., this weekend to participate in the Senior Bowl. The game is a showcase for some of the nation's less publicized players, and is an opportunity to convince NFL teams they can make it at football's highest level.

Bowling Green Daily News sports reporter Chad Bishop has a great article about the Senior Bowl and the prospects for Doyle, who earned the nickname "Mr. Reliable" during his time at WKU.

WKU Hilltoppers Run Record to 5-1, Win on the Road at Troy

WKU fell behind early, but rallied to win at Troy Thursday night to extend their winning streak to four. The Hilltoppers' 31-26 win came despite trailing by ten in the first quarter, several lost fumbles, and numerous penalties.

WKU Football Picked Fourth in Sun Belt Conference Pre-Season Vote

Four Hilltoppers — senior tight end Jack Doyle, senior defensive lineman Quanterus Smith, junior linebacker Andrew Jackson and sophomore return specialist John Evans — were among the 26 players selected to the preseason all-Sun Belt team as voted on by the league’s 10 head coaches and selected members of the media.
