WKU Sophomore Snipes Out for Year with Torn ACL

The WKU men's basketball team will be without one of their top reserves this season. Sophomore Nigel Snipes suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee Monday, and will miss the entire 2012-13 season. A statement issued by WKU Athletics says a full recovery is expected in time for the 2013-14 season.

Muhammad Ali's Boyhood Home in Louisville Sold to Las Vegas Realtor

A fan of Muhammad Ali has acquired an important piece of memorabilia: the boxing legend's boyhood home. Louisville realtor Dave Lambrechts told The Associated Press on Tuesday that Las Vegas real estate investor Jared Weiss closed on the property the day before. He said Weiss paid $70,000 for the small white house with a sagging front porch overhang in a western Louisville neighborhood made up of mostly neat, modest homes.

Basketball Hall of Fame Looking to Hardin County for Help

The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches is asking Elizabethtown tourism officials to help market the state's new Kentucky High School Basketball Hall of Fame. Association executive director Ken Trivette told the Elizabethtown Tourism and Convention board the Hall will preserve the stories and contributions of coaches and players.
